Infinitely Sad & Attrocious

Technorati tags: , , ,

Can't blog much right now. For two reasons. The first is because Walski is out of town and on a tight schedule, with barely enough time to post something more elaborate.

Second reason, this shit:

Five Hindraf leaders detained under ISA (2nd update)

PETALING JAYA: Five Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) leaders have been arrested and detained under the Internal Security Act (ISA).

The five are P. Uthayakumar, M. Manoharan, R. Kenghadharan, V. Ganabatirau and T. Vasanthakumar. They were picked up at various locations in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Seremban.

It is learnt they were detained under Section 8 (1) of the ISA after Internal Security Minister Datuk Seri Abdulah Ahmad Badawi signed their detention order.

Their detention is for two years

blog it

Mark December 13, 2007 on your calendars, boys and girls. A really sad day for Malaysia. And the word in the grapevine is that there will be more arrests. True or not, we'll just have to wait and see.

ISA - a great colonial legacy that even our colonialists don't practice anymore. Now, new and improved, with the extra stong Political Staying Power (PSP) additive... for a long-lasting bitter after-taste.
(Walski's disgust, and more, in the full post)

Time doesn't permit Walski to elaborately describe how disgusted he feels at this very moment, being on the road and all. Suffice it to say, whatever little respect left for this current government has finally left this mortal coil. The self-serving attitude that today describes BN has been adopted in toto by the government.

This morning, however, Walski happened to catch some real blatant propaganda broadcast on RTM TV1. And it was the usual crap about how Hindraf and anyone else taking to the streets are a threat to national security... blah-blah-blah-blah-blah. Walski really wonders how many people actually believe what's broadcast on RTM these days.

Be that as it may, a lot of people do take what is reported as the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the propaganda-coated truth. And they don't give a rat's ass whether or not the government is being totally truthful. And as usual, Barisan Nasional Security is quoted as the excuse.

Sad? Attrocious? You betcha... infinitely so.
