FA Cup 5th Round: Will Liverpool march on?
Today, Liverpool will host archrivals Manchester United in the English FA Cup 5th Round tie. It has been many, many years since Liverpool's won the tournament - last time was in 2001, a 2-1 victory over Arsenal at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff. As I write this, Liverpool has just scored their first goal this season agains Man U, through a goal scored by Peter Crouch header, from a cross by Steve Finnan. The last time Liverpool beat Man U in the FA Cup was in 1921 - 85 years ago! Not a very encouraging statistic. Time to get back to the TV - will update this post during half-time.
