The Malaysiakini report quoted above also provided some background on the earlier charges of sodomy against Anwar, for which he was given a nine year sentence in 2000. These charges, however, were later overturned in 2004.

This latest move simply shows how desperate BN is - UMNO in particular. They say that politics can be, and does get, dirty. Political intimidation is not something new in Malaysia, and the police have in the past been the attack dogs tasked to carry out such handiwork.

Walski must admit that this latest ploy is shocking, to say the least. Not that Walski's a big fan of Anwar Ibrahim, mind you. But dirty tricks such as these are the last thing that will win the people over. BN, it seems, just don't get it. Clueless fucks.

A press conference has been arranged by PKR for 1pm on Sunday at Quality Hotel in Shah Alam, according to a statement issued on the PKR website. Walski will provide any updates on this latest shocker as and when he finds out more.
