Lelaki Komunis Terakhir: Buck passed to UMNO Supreme Council
Technorati tags: Film, Censorship, Politics, Malaysia
In true rubberized elastic Teflon® style, Minister of Home Affairs Datuk Seri Radzi Sheikh Ahmad has conveniently passed the buck on whether or not the ban on "Lelaki Komunis Terakhir" (The Last Communist) should be lifted or maintained, squarely onto the shoulders of the UMNO Supremo Council. This was reported in today's The Star, Bernama, The Sun (online) and New Straits Times.
Now, since when is the Government accountable to one single political party? This really has to be one of the more idiotic buck-passing "I tak berani buat keputusan" (trans: I don't dare make a decision) moves. Whatever happened to Ministerial accountability? Call it what you like, but this is pure chicken-shit buck-passing.
You're probably saying, "Don't be a naive little boy, Walski". Yeah, yeah, Walski is aware that democracy only works during election time and all that. The real people never have a say in anything anyway.
So, what do you think the UMNO Supreme Council is gonna say? Take the myAsylum straw poll below, and we'll see the outcome soon...
