Well, folks, another year (solar, that is) is about to come to an end.
It would've been nice if the last post for this year could have been a sum up of the last 364.25 days. Time, however, is not Walski's to dispose at this juncture, so a retrospective will have to wait until next year.
Which is in about 8 hours time, give or take.
Suffice it to say that 2008 was a very interesting year for Malaysia. We've probably not seen so much happen within one single year, as we have this year.
So, goodbye 2008... it was nice knowing ya!
(lowlight to end 2008, and more, in the full post)
As Marina M. has indicated in her end-2008 post, however, the year seems to have decided to not end well in certain parts of the world. Like Gaza, for instance.
Once again, the Israelis have taken retaliation to a new level of dissonant magnitude. The recent airstrikes have taken a big toll, killing at least 300 people, in the past few days. And once again, a lot of silence from the American mainstream media. More thoughts on this in the coming days.
Ahh... so much to say, so little time... Well, Walski's gotta run. Look out for his 2008 retrospective coming real soon.
Well, people... if you are partying tonight, have fun, but be sensible. And if you're killing brain cells, get someone else to drive. Let's make sure you see 2009 in one piece...
Hasta la 2009, sports fans...
