Walski, the Transit Lounge Lizard...

And the journey doesn't end here - it's a 10 hour layover, then another 2 hours flight to the final destination, which is another time zone earlier than where Walski currently is.

Okay, okay... Walski's in transit at Dubai airport, en route to Khartoum. This is Walski's second trip to Sudan in as many years... and once again, it's because he's chasing for business.

If you recall the last trip (late April 2007), the routing was kinda crappy. It's a bit better this time around, since Walski doesn't have to transit somewhere else before heading for Khartoum (it was Doha that time). And will come back thru Dubai on the way home.

The problem with this trip are the long layovers in Dubai, to and fro, plus a lot of wasted time in Khartoum itself, no thanks to a customer who couldn't confirm the appointment until very the last minute, where we had to include some just-in-time buffer...

In a nutshell, Walski left KLIA at 2am Tuesday morning, and doesn't return to KLIA until Friday at 9pm (Malaysia time). And in the process, will spend more time travelling, than in Khartoum meeting with and presenting to customers. Well, travelling and lounging in transit...

Like a transit lounge lizard... minus the cheezy muzak, plus other lounge lizard amenities....
