Liberal Media Bias

Concerns about media bias is not unique to Malaysia, although the driving forces behind the bias may be different. Whereas in Malaysia it's institutionalized propaganda, versus honest reporting, in other places it's more market driven... like driven by the American Conservative agenda that everything has a Liberal bias (hat-tip to Hyer Standard)...

And since for the rest of the day Walski will be in meetings, that's about all he has to offer for today.

Oh, one other very important thing before he forgets:
Speaking of liberal-biased media - which in the Malaysian context means any media that doesn't pander to BN and the Government, and reports things as they really are - Walski would like to take this opportunity to wish Malaysiakini a very, very Happy (but slightly belated) 8th Birthday.

Yes, Malaysiakini celebrated 8 years of being a thorn in the side of people who'd rather the truth not be known in toto. And for that, Walski wishes the independent news organization Congratulations and Thank You.

Malaysiakini is probably our own version of Liberal-biased media, in the eyes of the Conservative stalwarts, who pretty much own most of the mainstream news and entertainment media, and answer to a higher power - namely BN.

So, a very hapy 8th, and again Thank You, Malaysiakini, for making the news something worthwile to read once more....
