Walski was alerted about this launch only after the fact, via Rocky's post, a couple of days ago. First off, heartiest congratulations to the author Syed Akbar Ali. This is one book launch that Walski would've loved to have attended, if he had known about it beforehand.
The launch was held at Kelantan Delight Restaurant, at Suria KLCC, on Tuesday April 3rd, by former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir.

A couple of full reports of the launch can be found at BigDog's blog and at Pak Idrus' in passing - malaysian. If you have not yet read the book, do so. It is definitely a must read for all Malaysians. Except, of course, for those who arrogantly refuse to be exposed to differing views on Islam (and no, Walski won't get started on this).
Think of the book as Islamoholics Anonymous... in paperback form.
(a whole list of book reviews, and more, in the full post)
Incidentally, Club of Doom, Syed Akbar's second book, has also been reviewed by a number of other bloggers, apart from Walski. Here's a non-exhaustive list of reviews that Walski's found, to date (in no particular order):
► Xpyre
► Nizam Bashir's Poetic Justice
► arifadriana
► Nisha
► Thai-Blogs.com
► Mnemosyne
► Caliibre
► Chua's Corner
► Malaysia-Finance Blogspot
► Heyya, Apa Khabar?
There are probably a whole lot more reviews, but the above should give you some idea of the reach that Syed Akbar Ali's book has gotten, as a number of these blogs are actually from outside the country.
Again, Walski can't say this enough times: if you haven't read it yet, you owe it to yourself to give it a read.
