robin goodfellow - Agreed. What follow up statements to this have shown just how shallow these so-called protectors of public morality are. There's simply no cure for stupidity, one supposes. But I think this issue has created enough of a stir to re-look at PAS' true motives, despite their softened (somewhat) approach, which I see as nothing more than support gathering.

Menurut Ketua Dewan Muslimat PAS, Ustazah Azizah Khatib Mat sudah sampai masanya pihak penganjur sukan dan peserta di peringkat antarabangsa dan dalam negara untuk mengenalkan serta meletakkan syarat pakaian sukan yang menutup aurat khususnya bagi wanita Islam.

"Sudah tiba masanya pihak penganjur sukan perlu mengenalkan pakaian sukan menutup aurat bagi wanita supaya golongan lelaki yang menjadi pengurus atau penonton tidak ghairah ketika menonton acara sukan yang disertai wanita," katanya mengulas pakaian wanita Islam Iraq dalam sukan di Doha ketika ini.

Beliau berharap wanita Islam sepatutnya menjadi tauladan kepada bangsa lain sama ada dari sudut pakaian atau penampilan khususnya ketika menyertai sukan.

Kelantan is becoming more like Saudi Arabia. May be we should tell the world that whosoever wants to visit Kelantan should wear the hijab, veil and the abaya. Islam places so much importance on the outer appearance but less on the heart. One day we will all wear the baju Melayu and may be one day too, we all have to change our ethnic names like in Indonesia. One wonders if Malaysia is on the fast forward track or in reality on the fast reverse track. Islam, Islam; why do you have to force yourself on us ?

And to mitigate any form of any extraordinary expense that might be borne by the restaurant owners, they could refer to kitchen and server apparels commonly available in the market. Do us all a favour, Mr. Takiyuddin and other like-minded Hamadryas Baboons of Bani Quraish, stop reading the Arabian Nights and call it the Quran.

Non-Muslims are beginning to be subject to the same Islamic requirements of dress and 'decency' too. Soon, based on yet another wave of 'public complaints', Muslims women would be required to wear at least Burka, or else, and non-Muslims to wear at least tudung, or else.

Remember what the Islamofascists always said in trying to coax the Dhimmis to accept the Islamicization of Malaysia, or simply to shut them up?

"Islam and syariah are only for Muslims, they don't affect non-Muslims, so why should non-Muslims be worried or discuss about Islam?"

Well, now we know THAT'S A LIE, and whoever believed in that bullshit must be naive.
